CIMS - Customized Investment Management Service

CIMS is our service for provision of personalized investment portfolio solutions. By using CIMS your investment portfolio is tailored to your specific situation. Investment needs and goals are addressed, accomodated and pursued. A defined and systematic process is followed, the CIMS Process. By following a time-tested process, it is possible to consistently provide a high-quality experience.

CIMS is suitable for high-net-worth individuals and institutional investors, i.e. for larger accounts.

Clients and prospects may enter our voluntary Client Referral Programme ("CRP"). Participants in the CRP receive remuneration for referring prospects that ultimately become CIMS clients.

Value based pricing is applied to CIMS, meaning that you as a client pay us what CIMS is worth to you. Check the full Pricing Policy.

CIMS Process - what we do together

The process of providing you a customized investment management solution is briefly outlined below.

  1. Client Profiling and Suitability Check. To be able to provide truly customized investment management, it is crucial to have extensive and relevant knowledge of the client. A client profile is established. The profile includes, e.g. preferences, investment objectives, risk appetite, investment knowledge, current advisor relationships, etc. It’s also important to assess the suitability of the prospect as client. Does your profile match one for which we can provide real value?
  2. Client. We have together reached the conclusion that we can provide you with substantial value and you have elected to become a client. There is a match.
  3. Discretionary Investment Management Agreement ("DIMA"). An agreement is entered that regulates the service provision.
  4. Account Opening. If needed, a prime brokerage account is opened with a custody bank and trade execution services added.
  5. Investment Policy ("IP"). The purpose of the Investment Policy is to outline the investment management philosophy of your investment portfolio. The IP sets forth responsibilities, investment objectives, restrictions and reporting guidelines. It is intended to be sufficiently specific to be meaningful, yet flexible enough to be practical. The IP is reviewed during the Annual Review (see below) and revised as necessary. The client approves the IP.
  6. Portfolio Proposal. An initial investment portfolio proposal based on the IP is produced and discussed.
  7. Investment Management. This is the stage in which the actual investing is made. A comprehensive and state-of-the-art investment management toolbox is available, covering areas such as Investment Universe, Instrument Types, Portfolio Simulation and Construction, Portfolio and Risk Management Extras, Proprietary Tools and Models. The activities are governed by the IP.
  8. Client Reporting. Extensive regular reporting is provided around the investment activities. You access customized reports online in the Report Section.
  9. Client Meetings. Regular progress meetings are held to ensure that we are on course to reaching your goals and for review and discussion of the investment activities.
  10. Annual Review. An extensive relationship evaluation is done every year. This session includes an assessment of the Investment Policy, a review of the performance of the portfolio, feedback on service quality and a discussion around the CRP and possible referrals.
  11. Client Survey. Annually, a client survey is conducted with the purpose of obtaining inputs from our clients as to what is good and what is not. The feedback from the client survey is used to improve the service provided.
